KNITTED DRESS

Knitted midi dress

I have to admit… I have a big problem! I am obsessed with all the trends going one this season, I want to get a striped shirt, an embroidered jacket or jeans, metallic stuff (I started from this one and got myself a biker!),  a midi lingerie dress to put on top of a long sleeve top…. I really like everything I’m seeing in the stores and want to get it all!

One of the pieces I’ve been looking for a while now is a knitted midi (or long) dress, I still have some knitted dresses from some years ago, but they are completely out of style, now the knitted dress is long, oversized and with a straight shape. You can find them in many colours, but the grays and pastels are my favourites.

The thing that is keeping me from buying this kind of dress is that, unlike the pleated skirts, there are not so many combinations to make, maybe changing sneakers for hills, adding a belt, changing the jacket or even the hairstyle and make up, but that’s about it… So I am looking for a low budget knitted dress, because I recommend investing in pieces you can wear all the time and will last you for ever, but when you know you are just gonna wear that dress or shirt a couple of times, don’t invest too much on it, even if you fall in love with an expensive one, get a cheaper version and combine the hell out of it :).

BTW, my favourite combination is with white sneakers, hair waves and a dark lipstick!

  • These knitted dresses look gorgeous, especially the 2nd one, but oh my, you have to have the figure for it. With my post-baby (well, babies) body, there is no way I would look good in one of these!

  • I love ’em! I saw a lot of women in knitted mini-dresses just recently during my trip to Japan. I wonder though if I call pull it off – seems like an OOTD that would only be okay for tall women.

  • I really love the idea of these, not sure I could pull something like this off though!
